Free 2 Play

Wizards and Champions will be available as a free 2 play game.

As a micro-budget MMORPG, I'm looking at alternatives to provide revenue to keep the game rolling.  The original plan was to fund operations through advertising on the web site.  There were no plans for a cash shop, but oddly enough I've received complaints about NOT having a shop available.

I'm no fan of the current trent toward "Pay to Win".  I hold no deep aversion to cash shops, where items are resonably priced and there's no game mechanics that force cash shop use on free players..  But for the time being, I don't anticipate adding one any time soon.

So for now, the Free is just that.  Free.
